Vogan
Special Characteristics:
Horns are triangular in males, loosely spiralled and 30 to 40 cm long; only 5.6% of them carry small horns; long neck; coat colour is variable, red and black pied animals being the commonest; the hair is short (Wilson, 1991).

Main Location:
Confined to southern Togo and neighbouring Benin in the vicinity of Vogan in the Vo, Aneh and Tabligbo districts. The area has a subhumid to humid climate with a long uni-modal rainfall. The production system is principally urban (Wilson, 1991).
Origin:
The Vogan is reported to be a cross of the Djallonke with the Sahel sheep.
