Tanzanian Blended Goat

Special Characteristics:
Phenotypically they have large pendulous ears and resemble the Angol-Nubian. They are kept mainly for meat production.

Origin:
This breed was developed and stabilised as a composite breed in the late 1960's at the Malya Livestock Research Centre in Tanzania. It is constituted out of 55% Kamaria, 30% Boer of South Africa and 15% of indigenous stock (1989).
