Morkaraman

Kizil (reddish), Karaman, Kara Koyun (Black sheep)

This breed is hardy and is suited to the harsh and long winters.

Most common in Eastern Anatolia, in such Provinces as Erzurum, Kars, Mus, Bingol, Elazig, Agri and Erzincan. It is also seen in mixed flocks, containing Akkaraman and Morkaraman, in the western provinces of the Eastern Anatolia region.
